[11/10] Ying Xiong a.k.a. Hero (2002) – [17th Anniversary Re-Review]

Hero (2002)

Quick Review: Extraordinary in its eye-candy use of color and scenery, drop-dead dazzling cinematography, spectacularly exquisite ballet-esque swordplay, and elaborate wire-fu set pieces, all masterly put into effect by Yimou's imaginative direction, which utilizes an inventive plot structure to narrate the enigmatic, epic, intricate and mesmerizingly poetical fable of deception, love and betrayal, "Hero" is a sublime 'wuxia' masterpiece with stellar cast that complements the sly artistry of its aesthetics.

Alex, as you probably know, this is my all-time favorite movie. :) It's perfect in my book, so I couldn't have rate in lower than 11. lol.
This is a quick re-review of the film, in honor of its world premiere on this very day back on October 24, 2002 in Shenzhen, China. :)
